Aftercare and Relapse Prevention

In many ways, graduation from our drug and alcohol recovery program is a true commencement, just the beginning of a new journey. It is challenging to return to the everyday routine of work, family and friends, in environments that sometimes are not conducive to sobriety. This is why at Serenity House, we make your continued care and relapse prevention a top priority.

Our aftercare program gives you the ongoing recovery support you need to stay clean and sober for the long haul. These meetings go far beyond a regular twelve-step meeting. Our purpose is to continue to equip you, monitor your progress, and encourage your long-term success. Aftercare focuses on relapse prevention and life skills that help you practice effective self-care and navigate treacherous and tempting situations.

There are weekly aftercare meetings held in several locations throughout Texas because we have clients from all over the state. We want you to be able to stay connected with Serenity house and a community of recovery after returning home and resuming a normal life. Aftercare helps you effectively find a new normal, a life clean and sober from drugs and alcohol.
