Achieving Long-Term Sobriety

Serenity’s Peer Recovery Program helps person’s early in recovery achieve long-term sobriety through a variety of during and post-treatment supports. Peer Recovery Coaches form the heart of the program. Our dedicated staff work with individual’s to help them build and rebuild their lives around 8 central domains defined as critical to a holistic approach to recovery by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA); these can be found at These domains include: Emotional, Spiritual, Intellectual, Physical, Environmental, Financial, Occupational, and Social. Our experienced staff help strengthen these areas to provide a well-rounded recovery effort. Through assertive outreach, education, additional support groups, community activities such as game nights, disc golf, and others, we improve chances of sustained recovery.

Tresha Miller, PM/PRC

Although Tresha came from a long line of pastors, she learned at a very young age about substance abuse.  Through the struggles of substance abuse, Tresha lost custody of her children which prompted a realization of the need to change.  Her recovery story begins in Abilene, TX where she relearned how to face life on life’s terms.  Tresha developed a passion for serving God and giving back to others struggling with substance abuse.  Tresha feels blessed by the opportunity to serve at her job as a Peer Recovery Coach at Serenity.  She has a passion for showing others that they can achieve recovery just as she did.  Tresha now has reestablished trusting relationships with her family and children and has a proven track record of developing trusting relationships with her participants and this is a cornerstone in providing long-term support for the individual’s she serves.
